Custom Inspection Fixture for Turbine Blade Verification

An aerospace MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) provider needed a custom, high-precision fixture to accurately measure and verify the dimensions of refurbished turbine blades. The fixture required a combination of CNC machined components and precisely located dowel pins to hold the blade in a repeatable position for CMM inspection. Our in-house tooling and machining departments collaborated to design and fabricate the fixture from a stress-relieved block of tool steel. The final product was a highly accurate and stable inspection gauge that improved the client's measurement consistency and throughput.
