A leading electric vehicle manufacturer approached SC-Starmatrix with a challenge: to develop a complex, high-strength stamped component for their new battery system. The part required tight tolerances and a unique geometry to fit within a constrained space while providing critical structural support. Our engineering team collaborated closely with the client's designers, utilizing our Design for Manufacturability (DFM) expertise to optimize the part for high-volume production. We designed and built a custom progressive die and leveraged our 400-ton press to manufacture the component from a specialized high-strength steel alloy. The result was a robust, lightweight component that met all performance requirements and was delivered ahead of schedule, enabling the client to accelerate their production timeline.
